Community Foundation of Greater New Britain Holding Wellbeing Workshop for Nonprofit Professionals
The Community Foundation of Greater New Britain (CFGNB) has announced that it is hosting an event, “for nonprofit professionals who spend their days supporting others,” to have, “an opportunity to step away from the day-to-day demands of their work and dedicate a day to their own health, wellbeing, priorities, and goals.”
The Foundation will host a free, full-day capacity-building workshop titled “Roadmap to Wellbeing: Strategies for Health & Success” on Friday, September 18, 2026, from 9:00am to 4:00pm. The Foundation says that the event will be, “Facilitated by Alicia Davis and Stacie Watson of Transformative Leadership Services,” and that, “the workshop will use the Results Roadmap™ coaching process to help participants create a personalized roadmap for improving their overall health and wellbeing.”
“Our Capacity Building Program is designed to respond to what we’re hearing from our nonprofit partners, and one of the needs we continue to hear about is the strain being placed on nonprofit staff and leaders,” Joeline Wruck, Director of Grants and Initiatives and manager of the Foundation’s Capacity Building Program said. “This workshop gives them an opportunity to invest in their own wellbeing and walk away with practical strategies they can put into action.”
The Foundation says that the workshop offers opportunity for those in attendance to:
- “Identify areas of their health and overall wellbeing they would like to improve.”
- “Reflect on their Core Values and how they can guide healthier decisions.”
- “Identify realistic goals and the steps needed to achieve them.”
- “Explore practical wellbeing strategies that can be incorporated into work and everyday life.”
- “Develop a personalized 90-day action plan to put those strategies into practice.”
“The free, full-day capacity-building workshop,” the Foundation says, “is open to staff of nonprofit organizations serving Berlin, New Britain, Plainville and Southington,” and that, “Breakfast and lunch will be provided at no cost to participants.”
Saying that space is limited, the Foundation says, “To reserve a spot or learn more, contact Joeline Wruck at jwruck@cfgnb.org.”
The Community Foundation of Greater New Britain says that it, “connects people, ideas, and resources to strengthen the communities of Berlin, New Britain, Plainville, and Southington. Through philanthropy, community leadership, and partnerships, the Foundation works to support a vibrant and thriving region where people and organizations have opportunities to contribute, connect, and make a difference.”
