Reader: Urge State Legislators to Support Climate Change Superfund Legislation

If you agree that our future is threatened by catastrophic climate change urge your State Representative and State Senator to advocate for HB 5156, An Act Concerning a Climate Change Superfund. The oil company profits have been massive and it is the oil companies that should pay for the enormous damages created by accelerated climate change. We are facing huge increases in flooding events, out of control fires, water scarcity problems, record heat waves and rising ocean waters, due largely to the carbon released by the burning of fossil fuels.

The fossil fuel industry has been aware of the link between their emissions and the catastrophe of climate change , but has delayed action time after time. It is time that they pay for the mess they made.
