Parks and Recreation Easter Egg Hunt Postponed to Sunday, March 24th Rain date

New Britain Parks and Recreation is planning its annual Easter Egg Hunt, saying,

Each participant will receive an Easter egg collection bag. The egg hunt will have separate age divisions: under 3 years old (1 parent or guardian allowed on field per registrant), 4-6 years old, 7-8 years old and 10 -12 years old. Please note that parents/guardians/adults will not be allowed on the field during the egg hunt for children ages 4-12.

The event, to be held Sunday, March 24, 2024 at Chesley Park, according to Parks and Recreation, “will also feature a DJ entertainment, field games and a visit from the Bunny. Light concessions will be available for purchase.” Parks and Recreation delayed the event from Saturday due to expected rain.

The activities are to be from 11:00am to 1:00pm, Parks and Recreation says, adding, “The Egg Hunt will start promptly at 11:00am. Pre-registration is required,” which presently appears unavailable for new registration.

The registration website said that, “In the case of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled for Sunday, March 24, 2024 from 11:00am-1:00pm. No refunds will be given.”
