“Available services include vision screening, hearing screening, blood pressure checks, glucose screening, cholesterol screening, height/weight, nutritional counseling, foot soaks and assessments, dementia screening, stroke risk screening, and depression screening,” CCSU says.

CCSU says that, “Students and faculty from Central’s Nursing program will conduct the screenings.”

The Clinic is located in the basement level of Nicolaus Copernicus Hall, which is CCSU’s science and engineering building. The building has the prominent observatory dome on its top.

“The clinic opened in October 2023,” CCSU says, “with a goal to address healthcare disparities in the surrounding community while allowing students studying healthcare to gain hands-on experience with the oversight of faculty.”
