DiLoreto’s Spanish magnet programs are holding Annual Lottery
Consolidated School District of New Britain is holding its annual lottery for incoming Kindergarteners to enroll in two programs – (1) the Diloreto Elementary/Middle school program which has a Spanish Language Development program and (2) “Dos en Uno” Dual Language program. The Spanish Language Development program provides Spanish as a separate world language class and a dual language program provides Spanish and English emersion so that in 2-5th grades all content is taught both in English and Spanish.
Parents can register their future kindergarten children starting on January 19, 2024. Following registration there will be a lottery to decide who will be accepted to Diloerto’s Spanish Language Development program with closing dates to be determined. For the Dos en Uno Dual language program, registration will close on March 4 and the lottery will be held on April 4th. Parents would be notified on April 18 whether their children got in and will need to respond no later than April 25.
Students from outside of New Britain could still apply for the lottery.
