The Pathways/Senderos Center has announced that its annual Walkathon will be returning for its twenty-second year this fall.
“After last year’s event was cancelled due to the pandemic,” the community organization says, “we are hoping to have our most successful fundraiser in our agency’s history!”
The Annual Walkathon is to be held on October 3, 2021.
The event is held in New Britain’s historic Walnut Hill Park. The event begins with registration at 9:30am, “and the walk around the loop begins at 10am, followed by refreshments and a raffle,” event organizers say.
Event organizers are asking people and businesses to sponsor the event, saying, “we will promote you or your business on our t-shirt, promotional materials and social media pages.”

The Greater New Britain Teen Pregnancy Prevention, Inc., the formal name for the Pathways/Senderos Center, says that the organization provides, “poverty-stricken youth and their families in New Britain for comprehensive, holistic services designed ultimately to prevent teen pregnancy.”
