Racial and Social Justice Conversation to be Hosted by Interfaith Conference

The New Britain Area Interfaith Conference is planning an online conversation series, “Shaping Peace Together: Advancing Racial and Social Justice.”

“Join community members and leaders in conversation about shaping peace through justice in Greater New Britain,” the Interfaith Conference says.

The series, to be held on Zoom, is to begin on September 21, 2020 at 7:00pm.

The speakers on the panel on September 21st are to be Veronica Delandro, Ronald P. Davis, Yvette Ghannam and Michele Stewart Copes. The event will be moderated by Ann Speyer.

“Every faith tradition teaches us that we are created to be makers of peace,” the Interfaith Conference says, “and that the way to true peace is through doing the work of justice.”

The Interfaith Conference invites people to to the, “five- week series of panel discussions focusing on the ways the people of Greater New Britain can work together to advance justice in housing, education, employment and healthcare.”

Future conferences are to be October 5th on employment and business, October 12th on education, October 19th on housing and October 26 on healthcare.
