The Opportunities Industrialization Center of New Britain (OIC) is hosting its First Annual “Second Time Around” Adult Prom in June.
“This is a formal red carpet affair where you can experience your prom for the first time or all over again,” say event organizers.”
“Our stylishly decorated venue will feature music from the past,” they add. “Those classic hits will be sure to get your feet moving and hips shaking as you take a trip down memory lane.”
The proceeds from the “Prom” event are to benefit at-risk youth and adults. The event will be held on June 1, 2019 at OIC, which is located at 114 North Street.
The event is from 7:00pm to 11:00pm.
The event will have DJ music, hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine and, event organizers say, “OIC’s Famous Spiked Punch.”
Recalling high school proms, the event will include a red carpet entrance and the crowning a prom king and queen. There are also to be prizes for the best dressed man and woman.
Individual tickets are $30 and couples tickets are $50.
VIP tables are available for $300, including a table for eight guests, champagne, a chef’s choice appetizer. OIC is also seeking sponsorships for the event.
OIC says that the event is for those twenty-five and older.
