NAACP Organizes to Encourage Kids On First Day of School.

To encourage kids on the first day of school, the New Britain Branch of the NAACP is organizing a “100 Black Men Education Engagement.”

“Calling all Black men and men of color,” says the NAACP, asking for participation in the event, to take place at the Northend School on Thursday, August 30, 2018.

Thursday is the first day of school, and the NAACP event will be at 8:30am at the Northend School.

“Let’s join together, on the school grounds, and give encouragement to our children as they begin a new school year,” says the NAACP.

“Let’s let them know we will there, for them, in good times and bad times as they challenge themselves to learn as much as they can learn,” the NAACP adds. “Our presence, on their 1st day of school as they get off the bus, will be a lasting impression on their young developing minds.”

The event is being organized by the New Britain NAACP’s Education Committee.
