“It’s great that we’ll have a Polish Consulate in New Britain!” said Rep. Peter Tercyak. “A Consulate confirms the  great numbers of Polonia locally, and the importance of our business connections. This affirms New Britain’s status as a destination for new immigrants from Poland, not just in the past but also now and, we expect, in the future.”

“Congratulations Darek Barcikowski, Poland’s new Honorary Consul for the state of Connecticut,” said Attorney Adrian Baron, who has labored for years to advance the Broad Street neighborhood. “What a great honor for the city of New Britain. The Polish Ambassador arrives Friday to open Poland’s new Consulate office in the heart of New Britain’s bustling Little Poland. Amazed at how far this neighborhood has progressed.”
