New Britain Public Library to Host “Health to Treat Spooktacular” for Halloween

The New Britain Public Library, in partnership with Access Health CT, is set to host, ” Health to Treat – a Spooktacular Day of Health Resources & Community Care” on Halloween.

The event promises free food alongside “free professional health screenings, services & more!”. Services available are to include blood pressure checks, cholesterol screenings, blood sugar screenings and BMI checks. Health education and additional resources will also be provided.

The event is from 10:00am to 2:00pm on October 31st.

Event organizers say that the first 100 guests will receive a “Passport Scavenger Hunt Card”. The first 25 people, “to complete their scavenger hunt card will receive a treat,” organizers add.

Participating organizations include Hartford HealthCare, Husky Fat Attack, ConnectiCare, the Smiles Studio, LEAD Community Center of New Britain, the Community Health Center of New Britain, Wheeler, Klingberg Family Services, New Britain General Hospital/Hartford HealthCare, the City of New Britain Community Services and Health departments, VIF Care, Well Life Therapy LLC, Insight of New England LLC and Monitor My Health Inc.

Event organizers say that the fair is open to everyone with all ages welcome to attend.
