Spottswood AME Zion Church hosting program on human trafficking.

This month Aug 17, Spottswood AME Zion Church will be having a program called human trafficking. This will be sponsored by the Underground New England, headquartered in Bloomfield CT. I had the opportunity to listen to and be engaged in this outstanding organization through the love/disability of CT. I was shocked to find out how explosive this is right here in Connecticut and the fact that my own cousin was human trafficked right here on the Berlin Turnpike. She has since deceased at age 28, but it truly was an unnecessary death. I was also shocked to know that we even have physicians and dentists who are involved in this bossiness! Another shocker is that this is occurring in every CT in New England! Can you believe that it’s not far away or some remote area of the country but right in our own backyard. 

We have a large youth population at our church, some who come from single parent homes, troubled youths, mentally challenged, etc and I would like for them to be present along with their caretakers and/or parents, as well as our congregation and neighboring community. 

I would whole-heartily appreciate bringing attention to this within our own community and hope that the date we are offering this, that people would come and be engaged. Also note that this organization is a faith-based organization that is involved in anti human trafficking.
