End of Legislative Session Town Hall Planned by New Britain Delegation

Members of the New Britain state legislative delegation and a Council leader are planning an, “End of Session Town Hall to discuss and answer questions on legislation that passed this session.”

The Connecticut state legislature recently adjourned its annual legislative session on June 4th.

The event is to include Rep David DeFronzo (D-26), Rep Bobby Sanchez (D-25), Rep Manny Sanchez (D-24) and Sen Rick Lopes (D-6), who will be joined by the City Council Assistant Majority Leader, Ald Iris Sanchez (D-3).

The event is planned for Monday, June 16, 2025, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at City Hall.

“The delegation worked very hard to advocated for our residents. We’re hopeful that people will see this through lower utility rates and more resources for our schools,” said Rep Bobby Sanchez.

Rep DeFronzo added that, “Connecting with the residents of New Britain and holding meaningful conversations about improving our community is a significant part of my work. Learning about the thoughts and ideas of constituents is very important to be a good advocate for New Britain and our community.”

“I am looking forward to hosting events throughout the district to encourage meaningful conversations and community participation in our democratic process,” Rep DeFronzo added.

In a written statement, the delegation said, “All residents of New Britain are invited to attend this event. They are encouraged to share their thoughts, ask questions, and provide feedback on policy issues.”
