Festival Celebrates Painting the Puerto Rican Flag at Criollisimo Restaurant
Brenda Torres, owner of Criollisimo Restaurant on Arch Street exclaimed that, “it is the turn of the Criollisimo Restaurant in the city of New Britain,” to host artist “Hector PR“, the creator of the “78 Villages and 1 Flag” artistic painting of the Puerto Rican Flag.
“It took me a while to visit 78 towns and paint 78 Puerto Rico flags in each of them, to get to this moment,” the artist says on his website. “What began as a small dream of leaving a mark on each town, became a project for all of Puerto Rico. A project of inspiration, social, cultural, educational, and all that is missing!”
The event on Arch Street on Saturday, Torres said, featured, “the plates the favorite DJ Bebe.” She encouraged people to an enjoyable event, adding that the event was hosted by Criollisimo Restaurant and Jeep Extravaganza.
At the event, on Saturday, crowds gathered for music and food on both sides of Arch Street, with dancing in front of the Restaurant.
Meanwhile, people gathered in the around Hector PR, observing and and photographing his painting in progress.
The artist’s website says that, “Hector PR is a talented artist and locally recognized for his ability to capture the essence and beauty of Puerto Rico.”
