Council to Appoint Alberto Borrero to Ward 3 Council Vacancy

City Council members have introduced a resolution to appoint Concord Street resident Alberto Borrero to fill a vacancy on the Council representing Ward 3.

The vacancy is created because of the election of State Rep Iris Sanchez (D-25) in a special election last month. Rep Sanchez has already begun serving at the State Capitol during the curvy l current legislative session.

In the resolution, on the agenda of Wednesday’s Council meeting, says, “State Representative Iris Sanchez and the Democratic Caucus of the New Britain Common Council, with the full support of the New Britain Democratic Town Committee, nominate Alberto Borrero to fill the vacancy.
