Job Information and Career Resources Sessions Continue at New Britain Public Library
The New Britain Public Library has announced that it is partnering with the American Job Center, “to continue our one-on-one Job Information and Career Resources sessions that will take place on the second and fourth Monday of each month.”
“Do you want to improve your current job prospects, find a new job, or change careers?” the Library says. “Come and meet with Joshua Gilmore from the American Job Center! You can learn about the FREE services and programs that exist in the North Central Region of CT that you may qualify for. Our goal is to help you navigate through the American Job Center resources that are available for you and sign you up for the option that may be the best fit.”
The Library says that the sessions are to include:
-Free career navigation counseling for CT job seekers
-Information on current state funded training opportunities initiatives
-CT Hires Account Registration Assistance
-Signup sessions for eligible programs
-Access to labor market information
“Each second Monday will be a morning session from 10-12 pm and each fourth Monday will be an evening session from 5:30-7:30 pm except for May 25 as the library will be closed for Memorial Day,” the Library says. “It is free and open to the public. No registration is required.”
