Letter To Bobby Sanchez Regarding Recent Election Results And The Allen St Project

Dear Mayor Sanchez,

Our 1st chance to connect with you after the election. It’s been a busy time for all:

Congratulations! You and your team are excellent! Your years of service, name recognition and a methodical, realistic campaign made it happen. Your volunteers are awesome. Special thanks go to Chris Anderson, Tim O’Brien, Mike Waller and John McNamara.

Stewart & Saavedra may challenge you again, two years from now. Our MAGA neighbors are skeptical at best. Now is the time for the promised results and to prepare for the next campaign. We’ve attached links for you from the past 12 days detailing many of the high points.

We are grateful for your efforts to highlight the long delayed Allen St. Project. As the former mayor noted, “The Allen St. Project is our most pressing need and the Allen St. Problem is a definite hazard.” In fact, Weston-Sampson Engineers declared, “The Allen St. Project must be a priority because the infrastructure is at crisis levels.”

PW Director Moriarty is qualified to oversee this project. We are fortunate to have him and his team. As he has noted, Public Works is ready to construct the long overdue Allen St. Project. Favorable full funding options are available. The Cardinal Engineering Plan is complete with approvals per Moriarty.

As you noted… “Action On Day One, Allen St. Improvements And Repairs Courtesy Of Now Mayor Sanchez. Real Leadership Means Getting It Done.” It seems breaking ground Spring 2026 is now realistic. Construction time required is 18-24 months.

Simply stated, after a campaign with amazing results, it’s time to get it done for the benefit of all New Britain Taxpayers.
