New Britain Legislators and Local Elected Officials to Host Community Meeting

Members of the New Britain legislative delegation and local leaders are planning to host a community meeting, “to discuss new state laws that took effect on October 1st, 2025, and what they mean for New Britain residents.”

The meeting is to be hosted by Rep Dave DeFronzo (D-26), Rep Bobby Sanchez (D-25), the Council Majority Leader, Ald John McNamara (D-4), Board of Education Vice Chair Diana Reyes (D) and CCSU Professor Aimee Pozorski.

The meeting is to be on the CCSU campus in Henry Barnard Hall, Room 101. It is to be on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

“We hope to connect with residents and discuss ways we can help support New Britain residents and families,” said Rep DeFronzo. “This meeting is a great opportunity to learn about new laws and what they mean for you and share input on what else can be done.”

Rep Sanchez added, “Community meetings like this are critical in our position representing New Britain at the State Capitol. It’s important to hear from residents about their concerns within the community and answer any questions they may have. These meetings allow us to collaborate and discuss ways we can improve our community as a whole.”

“All residents of New Britain are invited to attend this event,” the legislators’ office said. “They are encouraged to share their thoughts, ask questions, and provide feedback on policy issues.”

“I look forward to this event and speaking with all residents who are able to attend,” said DeFronzo.
