Petitioning Candidate Tarsha Moore Announces Candidacy for Mayor
Petitioning candidate Tarsha Moore has announced that she is running for mayor in this year’s city elections.
Moore said that, “I’m running because I believe New Britain deserves leadership that puts residents first—above party politics. Our city’s future depends on safer neighborhoods, stronger schools, and real opportunities for working families. I’m committed to building a city that works for everyone.”
Moore’s campaign says that she is, “a teacher and site director for before- and after-school programs,” and, “is also the Founder and CEO of My Portion Inc., a nonprofit that provides food, clothing, furniture, and essentials to families in need. Known for her hands-on service, She has spent years directly assisting residents—often recognized by her white and purple food pantry van and big white box truck delivering support throughout the city.”
Issues Moore says she would like to campaign on include affordable housing, mental health advocates in schools, youth summer work programs, downtown and neighborhood development and strengthening small businesses.
“MOORE, Has Her Boots On The Ground,” her campaign says.
