Ald Scott Holding Essay Contest on, “Why Schools Should Receive Federal Funding.”

“School is just around the corner!” says Ald Candyce Scott (D-3), announcing a Back to School Essay Contest. “To spark a lifelong love of learning, I have crafted an engaging educational experience for our young scholars!”

“Write a short essay about why schools should receive federal funding,” said Scott. “Email or text your essay to: Candyce at 860.325.3119.”

Scott said, “This is open to all New Britain students! PS video responses are welcome!”

“All participants will be invited to the award party to receive an award and light refreshments,” said Scott, adding that the event is to be at 115 West Main Street on September 6, 2025.
