Friends of the New Britain Public Library Planning Spring Book Sale at New Britain Public Library

The Friends of the New Britain Public Library is planning its annual Spring Book Sale at New Britain Public Library this month.

“The Community Room at the New Britain Public Library will be a beehive of activity with the Friends of the New Britain Public Library putting the finishing touches before the Spring Book Sale opens,” the organization says. “The Friends appreciate the community volunteers – M & T Bank, CCSU students, Library Board members and, most importantly, the library staff – whose help makes this semi-annual event possible.”

Friends of the New Britain Public Library says that,

This year, the Spring Book Sale opens with a paid Preview ($10/- person, free to members of the Friends of the NBPL) on Thursday, April 24 from 10 am – 2 pm. On Friday, April 25, the Sale runs from 10 am – 4 pm, admission is free. Watch out for special Friday deals on certain categories – History, Biography, Military, and Children’s DVDs. Saturday, April 26 from 10 am – 2 pm is all-day Bag Sale, free admission. Buy our bag for $10/- and fill it up, a great way to stock up for your spring and summer reading. The bag sale excludes Special books and Media, which can be bought separately.

The organization adds,

On sale are classics, fiction and nonfiction in English, Polish, Spanish and a handful in Arabic, children’s and Young Adult books. Nonfiction titles include, among others, History, Biography, Military, Cooking, Religion, Sports, Travel and much, much more. We also have specially-priced books in various disciplines including genealogy. All books are priced to sell and all proceeds directly benefit the New Britain Public Library. We accept all major credit cards.

“Please mark your calendars, and come out and support the Friends and the Library. For more information, visit www.newbritainlibrary.org or www.booksalefinder.com or email the Friends at nbplfriends@newbritainlibrary.org,” event organizers say.
