State League of Women Voters Co-President Calls On Voters to Seek Candidate Information

Election Information You Need

To the residents of New Britain,

Please make sure you know all about the candidates and issues on your ballot! The outcome of these elections will impact our everyday lives. Please, citizens of New Britain, find your personalized voter guide to see where your candidates stand on issues like:

Jobs, Affordable Housing, Reproductive Rights and more.

Voters standing line to register and vote on Election Day 2020 at New Britain City Hall.

We must raise our voice to make our democracy stronger. But oh, that’s right, there was no Republican or Democratic debate here in our city, so how can candidates answer our questions?

Well, here’s the best way to get your candidate to speak about issues important to you.

  1. Tag the candidate in a tweet. As a voter I want to hear where my candidate stand on the issues, that’s why I’m calling on a candidate to respond to the @vote 411 guide, so voters can be informed before casting our ballot.
  2. Send candidates a Facebook message or email them.
  3. Write a letter to the editor asking candidates to fill out vote 411 voter guides. Publicly request encourage candidates to respond to the calls of voters.

This is an opportunity to encourage and persuade candidates to respond, so please be respectful, but direct in your messages. If you or one of the candidates you reach out to have any questions, you can contact us at voter [email protected].

Thank you for helping with the voter guide.
