“Barbecue” to Be Performed at Hole in the Wall Theater

The Hole in the Wall Theater is to perform Robert O’Hara’s “Barbecue”, during the end of August and beginning of September.

The Theater says that the play,

centers on around the O’Mallerys, a dysfunctional group of siblings who come together for a park barbeque in order to stage an emergency intervention for their sister Barbara, whose drug habit has gotten out of hand. However, there are in fact two O’Mallery families, one white and one black. Each appear in different, yet similar scenes that juxtapose to create a dialogue about racial and family politics.

“Barbara” is performed by Nicole Roy and Marie Altenor, “James T” by Jamie Reopell and Drew John Ladd, “Lillie Anne” by Lisa Bynes and Elizabeth Reynolds, “Marie” by Kirsten Easton-Hazzaa and Grace Clark and “Adlean” by Melissa Rostkowski and Jacqueline Davis.

The play is directed by Teresa Langston and produced by Laurie Maria Cabral and John Bosco.

The play opens on August 26, 2022 and continues to September 4th.
