After weeks of COVID-19 social distancing, a warm weekend brought the life and renewal of springtime to back yards and front porches in New Britain, anyway.
The sun was out, after days of storms and rain.
True to the adage that, “April showers bring May flowers,” the first weekend of May was in full bloom.
Leaves are coming out and trees are blossoming.
The relative quiet of colder seasons gave way to the sounds of voices, laughter and music that could be heard in the city.
The aroma in the air said that people were firing up backyard grills.
And the color, vibrance and warmth of springtime was in the air.
