Marijuana Discussion to be Hosted by League of Women Voters Apr 16th

The New Britain Area League of Women Voters (LWV) has announced that it will host a public meeting concerning marijuana policy in the State.

The conversation in “Meeting on Marijuana” will ask questions about marijuana legalization, its medical use, its recreational use and about it being a possible source of state revenue.

The forum will held on April 16, 2018 at 7:00pm. There is no charge for the event.

Speakers at the forum will include be Rep. Edwin Vargas (D-Hartford), who the LWV says was among the legislators supporting legalization of marijuana last year.

Also speaking will be Robert Lawlor, Drug Intelligence Officer for the New England High Density Drug Trafficking Program.

They will be joined by State Rep. Peter Tercyak (D-New Britain), who, the LWV says, will, “speak on issues related to Connecticut’s medical marijuana program now in place.”

The forum will be at Trinity-On-Main, in the Rotunda Room. Trinity-On-Main is on the corner of Main and Chestnut streets, at 69 Main Street.
