City Pools to Open June 17th for Summer of 2017

With the warm weather finally arriving and the school year coming to a close, city pools are about to open for the 2017 summer season. Willow Brook Park Pool and A.W. Stanley Park Pool will open Saturday, June 17th at 1:00pm.

Pools are open for a day swim sessions from 1:00pm to 4:45pm. During the day swim sessions, children admitted to the main pools must be at least 7 years old or accompanied by someone 14 year old or older. Children admitted to the wading pools must be 7 years old or younger and accompanied by someone 14 years old or older.

There are also evening sessions, from 6:15pm to 7:45pm. During the evening sessions, children admitted to the main pools must be at least 12 years old or accompanied by someone 14 year old or older. Children admitted to the wading pools must be 7 years old or younger and accompanied by someone 18 years old or older.

The city’s two splash pads are already open. Their hours are 10:00am to 8:00pm.

Daily general Admission Rates for pools are $4.00 for those ages 18 and older, $3.00 for those ages 6-17 and free for those ages 5 and under. Pool passes are also available for New Britain residents, providing unlimited access during pool hours and free entry into city parks pool party programs. A family Pool Pass is $50.00, while individual pool passes are $30.00.

  • Chesley Park Splash Pad at 35 Wildwood Street.
  • Willow Street Splash Pad at 43 Willow Street.
  • Willow Brook Park Pool at 200 Mill Street.
  • A.W. Stanley Park Pool at 2159 Stanley Street

Pools will close for the season on Saturday, August 12th at 4:45pm, while the city splash pads will close on Labor Day Weekend.
