More than 300 students are expected to attend the party, which runs from 9:00pm to 5:00am.

“It’s hard to keep teens entertained for eight hours, so we try to offer a wide range of activities,” says Mazadoorian. The party will include include food, games, raffles, and entertainment, such as inflatables, air hockey, casino games, fortune tellers, tattoo artists, karaoke, and a hypnotist.

“The students really enjoy themselves, and they are very grateful for the effort we put into it,” Mazadoorian added.

About $12,000 has been raised so far. In addition to funding the party, about $1,000 of the funds will be used for scholarships for graduating seniors.

Monetary donations may be dropped off at the high school on weekdays, 7:15am to 2:15pm or may be mailed to the NBHS PTO, 110 Mill St., New Britain, CT 06051. The PTO welcomes donations of raffle items or food, and those wishing to donate should email the PTO at [email protected] or call 860-225-6300 to make arrangements. Adult volunteers are also being sought to help staff the party.

According to Mazadoorian, students remember the party for years to come. “Past students come up to us when we are out in the community and tell us they still have happy memories of their all night graduation party. Comments like these motivate us to keep it going, because it makes a difference to the students.”
