Parks and Rec Hiring for After School Programs

New Britain Parks and Recreation has announced that it is hiring for positions in its 2020-2021 fall to spring after school programs.

The city Parks and Recreation says that it is looking for, “Motivated, flexible, creatve, passionate, fun people who have an interest in working with kids, “is seeking staff for after school programs at elementary and middle school sites.”

Parks and Recreation says that it is looking for candidates for supervisory and group leader positions, with a pay range of “$12.00 – $17.00.”

“Daily responsibilies,” Parks and Recreations says, include, “Planning and facilitating a variety of enrichment and recreational activities, assisting
with homework, engagement with students and behavior management.”

The program is anticipated to continue from October of 2020 to May of 2021. “Candidates must be available Monday – Friday between 2:00pm – 6:00pm,” Parks and Recreation says.

“The programs will follow the current hybrid learning model,” Parks and Recreation says, adding that, “This may change throughout the course of the year between a traditional model of school, a hybrid model, and/or virtual
model.”

Parks and Recreation says that, “Application must include: City of New Britain application, supplemental questions and a letter of recommendation,” with the application available on the city website. “Please submit application to the New Britain Parks and Recreation Office.”
