STEM Program at New Britain Youth Museum at Hungerford Park Starting Aug 7th

The New Britain Youth Museum at Hungerford Park will be having a STEM program for children in grades 1 though 5 from August 7, 2017 to August 25th. “STEM” refers to educational programs in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

The Museum says that learning in sciences will include chemistry, physics and biology. It says that, “Each week will have different topics and activities. Lots of building, experimenting and inquiring.”

The program runs Monday to Friday, from 9:00am to 3:00pm each day.

The STEM program will be in three segments:

  • STEM I, from August 7th to 11th.
  • STEM II, from August 14th to 18th.
  • STEM III, from August 21st to 25th

The STEM program is the last topic in a series of the Museum’s Summer Programs for children.

The fee for attendance is $150 for Museum members per week and $200 for non-members per week. There is a 10% discount for siblings. The Museum says that pre-registration and pre-payment is required for all classes. Registration is at (860) 827-9064.
