Diaspora Multicultural Society will hold an Eid al-Fitr Family-Style Celebration on Friday, June 30th at 6:00pm. Eid al-Fitr is the Islamic holiday, called the “feast of breaking of the fast”, celebrated at the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
The event will be at the Diaspora Multicultural Society, located at 90 John Street.
The Diaspora Society’s Facebook site say that. “Diaspora is a place for all people! Let’s come together for a celebration, education, and show of unity.”
The event will feature guest speaker, Linda Miller. Guests are asked to bring a dish, without pork, to share in a family-style potluck dinner. Guests are also asked to bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to a local food pantry.
