CCAG’s 9th Annual Backyard BBQ Tomorrow!

News Brief

Tomorrow, Saturday August 27, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM, CCAG is holding it’s 9th Annual backyard BBQ at the home of Rep. Peter Tercyak and Patricia Rehmer, 150 Belridge Rd. here in New Britain.  This fundraising event supports CCAG’s work, the grassroots campaigns, and lobbying efforts of one of Connecticut’s oldest consumer advocacy organizations.  There is a $35 suggested minimum donation. Donations to CCAG are not tax deductible.

The Connecticut Citizen Action Group, was founded on Earth Day in 1970 by Ralph Nader and Toby Moffett.  CCAG has been fighting for justice for over forty four  years. By utilizing grassroots power, CCAG has created change on issues their members care about including quality, affordable health care, protection of consumers, the environment, and democracy.

Duste Dunne, CCAG’s Event Coordinator says of the BBQ, “We are amazed at how many friends have RSVP’d so far…The party is looking like a reunion and is going to be even more lively than usual! C’mon down for great food, good friends and live music by Chris Marolda.” You are encouraged to RSVP online, so they are prepared with enough food and drink for everyone, but this event is open to all.  So if you’d like to connect with movement builders on the left, join some of New Britain’s activists and local politicians this Saturday.
